What is Improv? It’s when theatricality, imagination, and ALL that is magical become one. Stated simply? There are no scripts! You may have heard of the t.v. show “Whose Line Is It Anyway”, or Drew Carey’s new “Improv-a-ganza”. Improvisational comedy is an art form that uses off the cuff imagination. It’s a great way to quickly impact people’s lives by letting loose, trusting others, and embracing creativity.
Workshop 7-8pm
Improv JAM, 8-9:30pm: A lively and welcoming improv show with audience participation! The volunteers will be guided through a variety of scene games with real-time coaching by professionally trained improv instructors Sean Hancock and Tim Pakutka. All are welcome to play. Whether you are bran-spankin’ new, or a seasoned improvisor, it’s a great place to be creative and learn from each other. Please note: all performers are urged to be respectful, and honor the audience and themselves as this is an all-ages show.
“This is a safe place. I dare you to imagine…be bold and feel free to fall, because we are here to pick each other back up. We are here to break outside of ourselves and to overcome boundaries.” -Sean Hancock
